Can you imagine a small Cygnet car being powered by a massive V12 engine; well the new Aston Martin Cygnet V12 gets a bigger engine. The British automaker has tried using 6.0-L V12 engine seen under the hood of Vanquish and DB9 into baby’s bonnet without extensive modifications.

The company admits that fitting V12 power-plant into the tiny city car’s engine bay needs significant, but not insurmountable upgrades. Considering the facts about the engine that delivers 428kW and 620Nm in Vanquish, power would be reduced to shift along light-weighted Cygnet, normally powered by 1.33-L 4-cylinder engine delivering just 72kW and 125Nm of torque.

As of now, pictures are available only in the concept form and we might get to see production version, if the consumer demand rises. Aston Martin Cygnet V12 sounds like a pipe dream, but can well end up producing, just the same way Nissan built Juke R taking V6 engine from GT-R supercar.
