Chevrolet Corvette and Barrett-Jackson have a long history relationship. For instance, in 2008, Chevrolet earned a million bucks by auctioning its first new Corvette ZR1, and last year its new 2013 Corvette 427 Convertible earned $600,000 in an auction.
Chevrolet brought its new 2014 Corvette Stingray for the 2013 event, which flattered all the viewers at the Detroit Auto Show. This new Corvette Stingray is a perfect combination of design, performance, and technology. Bidders got a chance to look at this new model as they fought to order the company’s very first model C7, and they can choose the color and other options. The winning bidder for this new 2014 Corvette Stingray will get the first retail production model of this 7th generation Corvette.
The new C7 Corvette Numero Uno was sold for $1.1 million in an auction, with 100% of the auction amount donated to College for Creative Studies. Check out the high resolution picture of the new car above.
